Description of the additional lightning impulse overshoots evaluation (beta2).

The additional beta 2 evaluation you could select in the test setup – LI sheet. The overshoot value we calculate with a tangent on the tail of the LI curve.

The beta evaluation is not changed, because this evaluation according to the IEC standards. Please see TDG- curves evaluation results.

1. Found the points of the tangent

Near by the peak value we search the points. With this tow points we calculate the tangent.

2. BETA 2

The beta 2 value is the difference between the maximum peak value and the cross point with the tangent.
