self test

This menu item performs a complete check of the installed recorder hardware. The test contains a memory check and a complete test-record of an internal applied step voltage with evaluation.

If you have problems with the measuring system please do following steps.

  1. Create a new project ( e.g. selftest)

  2. Check the settings from the data save settings ('save in data base' and 'save in auto backup data base' are selected all other points are off)

  3. Check the auto backup folder (default: d:\WinTRASBackup)

  4. Make a self test function from each channel separate  (check all channel = no;  put in channel No. 1; make the same with all other channels)

  5. The curves will be automatic saved in the actual project.

  6. Please start the function print TRAS setup and save the protocol as 'selftest.QRP' file.

  7. Please pack the folder e.g. d:\WinTRASBackup\selftest  to Selftest.ZIP file

  8. Please send all RAMTESTxx.ERR ,selftest.qrp and selftest.zip to following email address: betrieb@strauss.de

show recorder memory

Starts the readout of the recorder memory and displays the actual data in the curve window (window no.:1).

clear memory

This menu item sets the complete recorder memory with the value zero.

test ramp

This menu item provides a test function for the access to the recorder memory. The memory will be filled with growing values from zero up to full scale. The curve window will show a ramp from the lower left corner to the upper right corner (zoom X – all!).

show raw data

The raw data of individual channels are displayed, the resolution must be selected accordingly.

clear virtual channels

This function sets all virtual channels with the value zero.

print TRAS - setup

A complete documentation of the actual configuration and settings is printed which may be helpful in case of malfunctions or for new installations.

DAC16

Program to control the precise output voltage of the DAC16-D/A-Converter Card (Option) to control the loading voltage of the KAL 1000 impulse voltage calibrator. For details refer calibration.
